Microchip Biotechnologies, Inc. (MBI) designs, manufactures and markets automation systems enabling reliable microsample preparation and analysis for the life sciences. Sample preparation processes can be complex and expensive, and researchers must choose to use complex manual procedures or expensive, large robotic systems. There is also a fundamental mismatch between the volume real world samples present in (as large as 10 ml/ 10-2 liters) and the volumes used by modern analytical instrumentation (as little as 10-9 liters). This mismatch wastes large amounts of expensive consumables and precious samples. MBI has developed technologies aimed at simplifying sample preparation, addressing the issue of volume scale and ultimately developing complete 'sample-to-answer solutions’ SM with a much smaller footprint than is available today.
MBI has proprietary and patented technology to scale large sample volumes to efficient nanoscale solutions that will ultimately reduce labor costs, increase reliability, and provide major savings in highly expensive reagents and scarce samples.

The MBI management team are seasoned professionals that can boast proven expertise in developing next generation instrumentation and systems, including DNA sequencers, microarray systems, advanced fluorescence imaging systems, and fully functional microfluidic systems.
The team’s diverse range of knowledge, skills, and management experience sets the Company apart from other companies.
The Board of Directors includes leaders from the commercial genomics revolution. Its Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of luminaries from advanced bioresearch systems development and commercialization, advanced optics, and next generation genomic solutions.
